Coinciding with the annual all-night arts festival Nuit Blanche in Paris, Under the Viaduct in Harlem’s White Light he third installment of a public art intervention series by the West Harlem Art Fund featured Overtones and Undercurrents, a collaborative experimental composition by Ryan Pratt and myself. This sonic experimentation came into being with support from curator Savona Bailey-McClain and the CMC. Special thanks to Douglas Repetto.
Utilizing the acoustics of the Riverside Drive Viaduct at 125th Street, we directionally projected and explored the tunnel with manipulated partials from field recordings taken from the surrounding viaduct and riverside park environment.
